The coral reef was magnificent! Colin and Julie were able to swim with the dolphins here. The water gradually got deeper for about 50 yards and then dropped off suddenly to pitch black depths. This beach is also populated by monkeys that worked all the day dropping and gathering coconuts from the palms.

In January and February of 2007 April and I were in Cambodia and Thailand. This remote beach is on Psi Psi island. It quickly became our favorite since it was on the other side of the island away from the resorts.

This historic cabin is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway Northeast of Boone, NC.

I discovered this lovely farm in the rolling hills West of Pittsburgh very near the West Virginia panhandle.

I painted these two scenes, inspired by the Outer Banks of North Carolina in my continuing efforts to solve the painting problem of the transition area between the beach and the water. I got pretty close to where I want to be this time. The little black dog in each is our dog, Bones.

This farm is on Rock Creek South of Black Mountain,  North Carolina. It is a landscape painters dream. I may need to paint this a few times until I feel that I have done justice to it.
